abnormal sounds

hey my name is nancy and i've had a 2008 4 door yaris for almost 2 years. after the last visit to the dealership for an oil change, i started hearing abnormal things from my car. Rattles sounds, and crackling sounds.
The rattle sound happens when i brake at a stop light, and the crackling sounds come from my engine... i'm not sure what's wrong... anyone else have this problem?

My car got some bad clunk when braking hard; I suggest you tell the dealer to check the torque on the sub frame bolts.

Mine 'clunks' on the right side while turning left also, I was thinking subframe as well.

Nancy just take the car to the dealer and have them do a complete check on the vehicle and dont take no for an anwser, you vehicle is under a warranty. Remember you the purchaser and if theres a defect or any type of problem the need to follow up and correct the situation, good luck.

Thumbs down

I think we all have that problem, at this point I’m not sure is something loose, bad struts, sway bar links, or control arms, I’m concerned that this car is doing all that right know its only 58k I was planning to keep it for ten years or more but with all the stuff that is going on with my Yaris (Huge list of problems) I don’t think is going to hold for all that time. What happened with Toyota? Is maybe just the Yaris that turned like the tercel? Their quality is , I had better experience with a Daewoo that I drove for 120k until I totaled it, none of this happened to it, it turned out to be a very good car.

Meanwhile, in my hamster, 71,000 and no issues despite hauling heavy loads (obese ex-wife).
