New Cross Bar
I just thought I'd post a few pics of my new rear cross brace that I had custom made for me.The idea for the bar came from similar products which I have seen made for other cars (like the one made by do-luck for the MK3 Supra).
The bar is made out of chromoly and attaches to the car via the stock front seatbelt mounting points (making use of the very high grade stock Toyota bolts). This ties the unibody together and removes chassis flex through the floor pan. As always, I am not interested in stepping on any toes or in breaking forum rules. I have inquired into becoming a forum sponsor and remain very interested in developing a relationship with Yaris World. Should anyone have any concerns about my post, please pm me and I will attempt to resolve the matter as soon as possible. Last edited by YaRS; 09-19-2013 at 01:24 AM. Thank you for the respectful tone.
I will say that you are offering to sell stuff, and this one happens to be a part that competes with the one I sell (Ultra Racing room bar). With that said, it looks very nice. You should definitely make harness bars for this car, there is a lot of interest for that!

I understand where you are coming from and I am certainly willing to edit my posts. As you can see I have already edited a bit and made the post more about the specific bar made for me and less about Pur's services. Let me know if you have any other concerns. |

Interesting, but will probably make it uncomfortable for the passengers in the back?

Paint it grey, throw the mats over it and the freeloaders/passengers may not even notice it there.
Any plans for a sedan version?

If you make one of those that ties in (boxes/triangulates) with the rear seat floor bolts I'll buy it in a heartbeat. I don't run rear seats so those bolt holes are all doing nothing...

Any word on more triangulated cross bars? Harness bars?

Why didnt you just run two straight bars? looks like they would clear the center console thing...
Plus it would be cheaper to make/sell |

I would assume to provide more room for the feet? And probably the center is the best spot to weld the connections because it has the smallest angle, giving it more stability/strength.

Well... that's why I would think NO angle at all would better lol
And he said (or someone did) that the comfort level was not anything they were worrying about... Just a though |

Of all the options, I would love a harness bar/floor bar that triangulates somewhere in the rear. I don't run back seats, so I have a ton of options.
