Yarii is the plural form of Yaris.
I keep seeing people refer to their Yaris as their "Yarii".
People, "Yarii" is the plural of "Yaris". "Yarii" means more than one Yaris. |

... And for the record, that is pronounced "YAR-eye" and not "YAR-ee."

Just say Yarish, then it covers all the gray areas, and you can be cool like Sean Connery.

I disagree. The Prius was the first name I've seen this done on and it is "Prii", pronounced "pree" to match the first syllable in "Prius".
"Yarii" should follow the established convention and be pronounced "yar-ee".

I'm one of those offenders refering to a singular in the plural. I know it's incorrect, but for some reason I just like how it sounds in my head.... "Yarii.... yeah".... in fact, that may have become my nickname for the car... hmmmmm.....
I appologize if my continuing to do so causes anyone undue consternation. Regards. |

damn video games have jacked me up. i pronounce yarii the "ee" fashion because of the nintendo wii. i dont think the yar-eye pronunciation is correct since that rule works for words ending in "-us", like cactus, octopus, lexus, etc... because of that, lets make it yar-ee since it sounds crazy fun, and you know you want to say it like that anyways! say it with me now... yar-EEEEEEE!!!!

I think I'll stick with Yarises, anyway. Unless you look at it like moose: one moose, ten moose; one Yaris, ten Yaris'.
