to black or not to black?

My aspiration is to murder out my Mk.2 and I want to paint the grey parts of my interior black. Has anyone changed their interior colour? or just have an opinion? I'd like to hear it

I did it. Center dash pieces. Painted them black. Unfortunately while it does look awesome, my headunit overheats.
I want to paint the grey door trims black as well. Maybe during Spring

Well since some of the interior is black already I didn't think the temperature would be that drastic, some cars interiors have full black interiors as their design

Maybe because my headunit isn't the factory one. Before I painted my dash trim black, it would overheat only if it was 38+C outside and the sun directly hit the screen.
Now, I've had it happen multiple times with overcast at about 30 degrees
