Unhappy Tire pressure sensors

Ok,i get in the car this mornig to go to work, after i start it,the tire pressure sensor light is on,so i think that i have a low tire, after work,i check the pressure in all my tires, found the air pressure was low in the spare, filled it up to 60 but the light won't go out,all the other tires were properly inflated,do i have a bad sensor or do i have to reset it somehow?

Is that PSI? I think 60 PSI twice as much air as you should have in a spare tire. My dads 10 ply tires have a max of 50 PSI and a donut should be 2 or 3 ply.

I did some searches and did not come up with the specks for the OEM sensors. But you could have a low battery in one tire.

The Yaris TPWS doesn't monitor the spare - It just looks at the 4 mounted tires.

Check out this post for a method of finding out what the error is without having to go to the dealer:

I would have never thought a donut would be 60 psi.

Compact spares are basically always ultra-high-pressure tires, 60psi is almost a standard. I've had some cars that uses as much as 75psi or 80psi in the spare.

The TPWS keeps its trouble codes until they are cleared with the Techstream tool, so even if the light is now off, you should still be able to find out what the issue is using the procedure above that I posted the link to.
