Jstyle subframe for Vios/Yaris

PTPA just found them in facebook sorry no attached pictures (photobucket not allowed in office network). In effect it looks like the ASR subframes popular in the honda scene. My inquiry mam/sir is does this thing serve any purpose for our beam type rear suspension found in vios/yaris or is it just purely aesthetics? I believe product is made in thailand. Thanks in advanced guys.

This is a really good question. The Sub-frame braces for Hondas that you see under the car are there to brace that small pressed sheet metal area that the center of the rear sway bar is attached too. Under high stress the area around the bolts actually tear and warp. I'm going to be completely honest and tell you that this modification is completely useless on a street car setup. For the chassis to flex enough for the sway bar mounting points to break requires a lot of high speed corning, where one of the rear wheels to raise off the ground. Hondas come with a small thin rear sway bar so stock (if you have a civic si, or Integra), it doesn't put a lot of force to the sub-frame. Running a big beefy sway-bar makes it a worthwhile modification. If you are observant a lot of kids running the ASR bars or the serial 9 ones dont even have a rear sway bar, which makes the modification completely useless.

Aesthetically pleasing im going to say yes. Price per dollar usefulness depends on the setup and if you race the car. FYI they also make sub-frame backing plates are thick cnc aluminium blocks that do the same things, just no bling
