Which specific OBD II (auto off) to use for a Yaris 2009 1.3L?
OBD-II (ELM-327) Bluetooth Dongle that is small & will auto shut-off
I want to leave my OBD-II dongle connected all the time. Can anyone suggest an OBD-II bluetooth dongle that is small, works with my 2009 yaris and will power down after the car is turned off? I can use an extender cable to hide the sensor if needed, but smaller is better. Using TORQUE on an android phone as display. |

Hmm, power is applied to the OBD11 socket all the time.
The way around this seems to be to cut pin 16 (the +12 volt supply) and connect this to the accessory circuit. It would probably be neater to do this with an extension cable so,you avoid cutting in to the ELM327 module.
