Toyota recall

Still on the stock clutch. Motor runs great, doesn’t burn a drop of oil.
Did you confirm and/or do all the free Toyota recalls for 2007 Yaris?

Yeah I did. Interestingly enough, my airbag light came on shortly BEFORE I went to have the recalls done. I figured it was the clockspring recall, but the guys at the dealership said that wasn’t causing it. The SRS code I pulled points towards the passenger squib circuit.

Toyota airbag recall Takata

So the Toyota dealer just went ahead and did the passenger airbag recall w/ the passenger airbag light on when you rolled in, and still on when you left w/ a new passenger airbag?

I'm @ 530ish, but with a second motor swap and one trans swap since I'm going turbo any day now and wanted a fresh start.

The Yarrice is still alive and well, I've only put another 15 or so thousand on it so it's right around 550,000 miles now. It basically sits in the garage 24/7.

I’m at 354k and have developed a random rattle... also my valves seem to be a little noisy. I’ve replaced an alternator, midpipe/Cat/sensors, and done basic maintenance otherwose. Hoping mine holds up because I don’t have any plans of getting rid of it.

That's impressive, still the original water pump?

'Unfortunately 500,0000 miles over 7 years doesnt translate into 200,000 miles over 15 years. The 200,000 mile/15 year car wouldnt do as well....'

My 2007 yaris sedan is 134,000 miles as of April 2021 and is still going strong. We may see what it is like at 200,000 or 500,000 if it goes that far. As you can tell I do not drive it much.
