I think that it has to be accompanied by a set of chrome rims!

Obviously I use the term "chrome grill" loosely.

Haha, I actually thought about that when I saw it. It could be painted anything... but I have a hunch it would look stupid on this car. Don't ask me why.

It does look really similar, only this one has lines going down too. It would look cleaner without them.

It's clearly not the right shape for my Yaris LB unless it fits out overlapping my front bumper cover around the grill
yuck

it looks incredibly like a big plastic add on...
remove the existing top grille, cut out the bottom grille, replace both with black mesh... ugly grille prob. solved. |

It is a duplicate of the JDM Toyota unit, the lower section has a raised lip that covers that "dip" in the lower bumper, for those of us who want the look of the JDM Styling package ver. D, this grille is a nice alternative to the Toyota brand unit which is almost 3 times the price, It's really all a matter of personal taste, mine's on the way now, 98 + 19 shipping. Just because it's plated ABS doesn't mean it's poor quality, my I30's factory grill is plated ABS and it still looks fine, pitting is negligable and this is on a 8 year old car with 170k miles.

[QUOTE=echo_hrs]It looks suspiciously similar to the JDM Styling Package Ver. D for Vitz...
At least you can get an idea of how it will look on the car... I like Chrome but I don't care for the chrome grill, it softens the look of the car and makes it look wimpy, the black grill gives it the aggressive look which is why I bought it. |

Well, got the grille in today, and as soon as the significant other gets home, I'll see about installing it, I'll post some pics as soon as it's on. As far as I can tell, it's a solid unit, ABS, but dense and heavy, nice substance to it, and the plating seems to be of very good quality, it says it was made in Taiwan, it has all the hardware to mount, and appears to use all factory mounts, rather than drilling or any 3M. I'm pleased with it, and have to say, while this probably wouldn't go well on every Yaris out there, I think it'll look pretty good on a Meteor Metallic Grey Yaris.
