GPS INSTALLED SECRETLY
Hello All,
I bought a NUVI 5000 that fits neatly into the passengers side Glovebox. I had it permanently wired in at BEST BUY who also put a backup camera on my 3 DR Liftback Yaris..that works with the Nuvi 5000 . The GPS is so unique because before I get where I am going I just close the glove box and no one knows it there. Toyota of Slidell thought that was really "fantastic" and I agre. I will take some photos soon but know that the 5000 was the only one I could get installed that would work? And the Nuvi 880 I originally bought for my Yaris could not be installed by Best Buy....Just so you know... Take care all and I love my Yaris a million times better than my Lexus that I sold to get this cute little car... |

Why not wire it into the driver's side glovebox instead? It'd be right in front of you.

the 5000 is a fantastic unit! i've wanted one for a long time, but i'm waiting to see if they go down in price/get clearanced out. i like the idea of being able to have 'video in' and the screen size is good enough to mount on the passenger side. do you have any issues trying to type when it's mounted in the passenger glove box? is it the upper or lower one? congrats!

That was my first thought too. The eyes wouldn't wander away from the road as much while in that location
