Hey guys,

Just a quick question - of the three, which is the BEST for drying the car after a thorough washing?

Thanks guys!

I swear by a good quality leather chamois. Taken care of, it will last you many, many years. Mine has been going for atleast 13 yrs now.

How can I tell if the leather chamois is quality? The ones available to me are from Walmart, Target, and AutoZone... How do you store it when not in use?

Thanks, bro!

+1 on the chamois. I've been using the same one for over 20 years. I am not sure how you would determine the quality when buying one.

Primarily, ensure that it is genuine sheep skin. Also, get a large one. At approx. 4 sq.ft., mine is packaged as large. I'm sure the Walmart and Autozone ones are fine.

You may find that microfibre would work better on the glass surfaces, after initially drying with the chamois. Over the years, the chamois can pick up bits of wax. This can leave a slight hazing on the glass, which microfibre will then buff out.

Powerful statement. Any reason(s) behind the switch?

Original california water blade and a well worn in terry cloth. Used at most dealerships up here for portering customer cars as well as new ones.

How do you take care of the chamois?
Do you let it dry and then store it in a bag or something?

I agree.

Side note. Anything works better than a Sham-Wow. Sham-Wow sucks.

+ 1 MILLION.

Have never looked back after using this, and I've been washing cars for 40+ years.
