First tank in my 2009 3 door, manual: 37mpg!

And I couldn't be happier!

The driving was mostly around town, and highly varied speeds (to stick with break in). Not that many highway miles either. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of mileage I can get out of it as the miles increase.

Just though you mileage junkies may want to know!

Get it on the highway more and mileage will go up a lot. Mine's over a year old now, filled up today and got 42.96 mpg, and I don't consider myself a professional hypermiler, just one that drives the speed limit and drives like I'm not late for work.

I pulled out of the dealer's lot with 10 miles on the odometer and a full tank. The last bar started blinking at 418 miles! Woohoo!

This is one of the few things I like about Toyota. They're one of the few manufacturers that don't overburden their cars with needless weight. They leave the passengers to do that for themselves (lol). Low weight + small engine = great mileage! Glad to hear everyone's getting awesome mileage!

Around town in a new car that's very good mileage. Nice work!
