60K miles on my Yaris with no problems
Just wanted to say, knock on wood, that my Yaris is at the 60K miles mark and have had 0 problems. I did replace the brake rotors and pads but that was a result of over torqued lug nuts. (always check your lug nut torque after any shop tightens them, by-the-way).
I've been using synthetic oil the whole time. Started out with Mobile-1 and switched to Valvoline Synthetic about 10K miles ago. The car runs just like it did when it was new. It's still quite peppy. It gets good mileage. About 30 city(driving it quite hard) and about 35 highway, no hypermiling. In fact I took my Scanguage out since I stopped the Hypermiling type driving. It's a great little reliable car! Yaris kicks butt!
