*PICS* of my new lip kit: Seibon CF front lip, Kaminari side skirts and rear lip.

Seibon CF front lip, Kaminari side skirts and rear lip.

Well I picked up a brand new Seibon CF front lip, and I actually got to keep the famous Garm's old kaminari side skirts and rear lip. His old/used parts always find a home on my car ( SSR wheels ). They were in bad condition and needed to be repainted. I also decided to paint over the CF front lip. Did all the body work and painting at my house! Check it out...

My dad's friend owns a paint store...

Turned the ghetto tarp "garage" into a paint booth...

Mix it up..

Bye bye carbon fiber!

Primed...

Painted and cleared....

Sanded and buffed out imperfections that happened while spraying.

Installed...

Will be doing a proper photo shoot soon!

Thanks

The sideskirts were painted with the same paint as the bezels, front and rear lip.
When I gave the VIN # and tow hook cover for the paint guy to match, I was told that the paint on the front and rear bumpers are different than the paint on the doors, hood, roof, etc. He said the paint on the bumpers aren't as bright as the rest of the car. That is story for all car's paints jobs I was told. I was asking him if he wanted the VIN # with the tow hook cover or the gas cap cover, that is when he told me i'd probably want the tow hook cover as a reference and not the gas cap cover; since the lip kit will be lower and matched up next to the bumpers. Thus the reason why the side skirts shouldn't match as nicely as the front/rear lip.

Also, I had eyelids painted with the same paint and those don't look good next to the hood. However, the paint on my car is a year old and the paint on the lip kit is fresh (obviously); We'll see what happens over the months! :)

I love the foglight bezels painted white, looks way better to me! And that's all that matters. :P

Wow that is one clean looking LB. If I were to ever own a LB i would model it after yours =) Only thing i would change are the fog light covers back to black. Needs just a bit of contrast.

That looks awesome! You always get the "connections" eh? So...my car next? :)
I'm with you POOP - all white is tyte! (even the fog housing)
Since you still got paint leftover, paint the rear hatch keyhole handle, too!
BTW, what kind of adhesive did you use to attach the kit to the body?

Used a double sided sticky tape with screws. Picked it up at the same paint place that supplied everything paint related for the project. It's a rubber type, not a foam double sided sticky tape.

Looks good, I like the all white on black rims.

You should talk to derflosser though, apparently if you don't spend 10 grand on your paint and 5 days painting it will chip off by the end of the year.(sorry couldn't resist, thanks for showing a nice cheap DIY job)
