Who all's in the Chicagoland area?
I think we should have a mini-meet of sorts before the end of August. Who else would be down for that?

Huh. It's weird how SoCal has large numbers of almost every car, but when you start moving farther east, those numbers drop super dramatically. Sad.

I'd go... lol
yeah... kinda sad chicago is one of the biggest cities in the states and there are very few yaris owners and if any... they obviously think the yaris is just a beater car because I've seen several with dented/damaged bumpers, hoods, etc....

Hi, I am around! Chris! We need to catch up sometime!
I'm not car savvy really, and my car doesn't have anything special to it other than back tinted windows now, but I like seeing other yarii in person, so I would meet up. |

Awesome! Even if you don't have a super modified yaris, it's still good to see other yaris owners that take at least some pride in their car.

hey annette! that's awesome u tinted ur windows! Finally! lol... but yeah someone should set something up, even if its a mini meet with 3-4 yaris.. that'd be cool ^^
I haven't done anything new, all I did was add this like 2 days ago... help represent the site a lil bit. Ignore the first pic... lol. 40 MPG is wishful thinking, haha. I rarely get that since I have a lead foot when driving. But since it's possible with the yaris from what people are reporting, I'll stick with what you see.

^ dude get an Ecometer. After three tanks of gas, I can honestly say it's helping me raise my MPG significantly. The first tank I drove how I normally do. I got 34 avg. Second tank I experimented with hypermiling. I got 39 avg. Third tank I kept doing what I did, but about constantly. I ended up with 41 avg. Keep in mind I've got a fully modified exhaust system, a custom intake (just for now), and a mess of suspension work.
I'm thinking an end of September meet at one of those parks right off of Lake Shore Drive in Chicago. They're literally on the lake shore and they are usually not busy with anyone. Maybe the last weekend of September?

maybe... I've been managing my fuel fill ups on my HTC magic phone using an app called mileage and been getting around 32-36 mpg average... so not bad for someone who's not really trying to get the best mpg right now.
Lake Shore Drive is fine, as long as it ain't packed in Chicago I'm cool. I hate driving in the city... people are crazy but even MORE crazy in the city. I'll look into that ecometer, the one from autometer right? |

Yup, it's from Autometer. I bought mine from Garm for $70 shipped. I think he still has one left.
