First 140 Miles on Car: 29.9 MPG

My driving is all local/suburban driving (no significant highway miles). I have no idea how far the fuel tank was filled when I took delivery, but I couldn't resist filling up today and doing the math. I'm guess after 500 to 1,000 miles, I might be able to expect 33/34 MPG, which ain't bad at all.

That seems to be a pretty common average from the reading I've done so far. As far as I'm concerned, that's excellent, considering it's a gasoline engine that really can get out of it's own way.

It is great for just normal driving. You can go crazy hypermiler nuts and get more, but getting 37 mpg for driving normal is pretty sweet. I remember when I thought 24 mpg in my Saab Viggen was good...

Yeah my first tank from the dealer had about 20 miles on it when I pushed the reset ODO button...
