mechanical boost gauge

Where is the best place to tie in a mechanical boost gauge?

Make sure it is a combo vacuum/boost gauge, otherwise it might whistle in vacuum, like the one did that I originally installed. For installing it, the smaller vacuum hose, which connects to the intake manifold is the best place, unless your setup has a port for doing so (the Blitz SC for example has a 1/4" threaded port built right in to its manifold.)

Scott, do you happen to have a pic of the vacuum hose you recommend using to tap the gauge into? Are you talking about the one that comes from the EGR?

Power Enterprise is telling me to tie into vac hose going to p-con sub computer which is tied into vac line in between throttle body and purge valve.

There are no vacuum lines on the throttle body - Just coolant lines. The one I am talking about is the one that goes to the purge valve, but it is mounted to the intake manifold just past the throttle body.
