Yes, the switch wiring was taped up under the dash right above where the switch mounts. Im going to try and re adjust the switch but Im pretty sure the button is fully depressed when my foot is not on the clutch.

I don't recall having sold you the kit, so you may want to check to make sure that the clutch switch is correct (there are two types that operate in the opposite way of each other).

Sorry if this has already been posted about but I seem to be reading a lot of conflicting information.

Can anyone help me?

I Live in Australia (right hand drive) and currently own a 2009 YRX Manual Hatch.

It has steering wheel audio controls.

would anyone please be able to tell me what my options are for cruise control?

Im a 25yr old female not so down with messing with electronic components however i want to look at my options before paying a bomb for someone to install an aftermarket kit for me.

Thanks in advance!

So the Toyota Yaris 2008 does not have the indicator on the instrument cluster for the engagement of Cruise Control? Is there any way to add this/upgrade the instrument cluster?

Only via my indicator module for 06-08 Yaris.

No. The ECM for the 06-08 does not support the CAN message to the cluster to turn it on.

For the diesel, your only option is an aftermarket complete system.

Lots of good info here, thanks for having it as a resource CTScott! I've learned a lot reading through the threads about adding OEM cruise.

I'd like to purchase a wiring kit and indicator from you for my 07 LB AT, tried sending you a PM but looks like there's a minimum post requirement. Sent you a PM, if duplicate then I apologize in advance.

Cruise Control Kit 08 Liftback (3door) Manual

I am looking for a Cruise Control Kit 08 for a Liftback (3door) Manual. I am open to either style (stock or switch). I am new to the forum so i don't believe it will let me send a PM. Do you have anything available?

This will only work for US/Canda/Puerto Rico Yaris, as Yaris from all other areas lack the built-in ECM programming for Cruise Control. Vehicles from other areas must use an aftermarket cruise control system.

Any procedure that requires 34 pages of documentation may seem intimidating, but this installation is really not difficult. I tried to add as much detail as possible to clarify the parts where people who have installed cruise control have had questions.

This guide is broken up in to seven sections encompassing the following:

Section 1: OEM Cruise Control Stalk Installation.
Section 2: Steering Column Connector D3 Pin Installation
Section 3: ECM Connector A21 Pin Installation
Section 4: Connecting the ECM Pin to the Steering Column Pin Through the Firewall
Section 5: Cruise Control Clutch Switch Installation
Section 6: Optional Cruise Control Indicator Module Installation
Section 7: Verifying Operation

Hi, new here and just wanted to say thank you to CTScott for this awesome DIY! Installed it in my 09 liftback within an hour and it is working flawlessly. Pulled the parts from a 08 Yaris at the junk yard and, believe it or not, it had that same DIY done to it by the previous owner! Not bad at all, especially since it only cost me 6$!

Would a 2015 five door L automatic U.S. Yaris only need the stalk and wiring to plug in to clock spring and horn? If so do you have parts for this?
