A question about the gas thingee -- the place where you stick the nozzle.

Does your gasoline nozzle accepter -- what the hell do you call that tube that goes down into your tank -- move when you insert the nozzle to gas up? It looks like it has some sort of rubber flange and that rubber gives about a millimeter or so in all directions. Is this normal? How are yours' (yourses).

I wish you could post a photo of what you're trying to explain...

My Yaris has a little door and a gas cap, and all seems right.

he is talking about when you open the door and take of the gas cap that you are just staring at a gaping whole, many cars have a little shutter the flaps open when you stick the nozzle into the hole to fill your tank

I filled mine today, no shutter

yes, I am sure it is there for vapors and probably to keep cigarette ashes from blowing in there while your pumping and having a smoke.
