Low idle (for a short time) after engine revving
Hi all,
So I've owned my 2007 Yaris 3-door hatchback with manual transmission for about a week and a half now. The car runs great (87,000miles on the clock) and I'm really enjoying driving and getting to know the car. One minor issue I've been experiencing which I'm hoping some of you here can help with is a strange one. When the car is warmed up, whether I'm driving or just sitting at idle, if I rev the engine, the idle drops really low for a second or so (there's no tach so I have no idea just how low) to the point where it sounds like it's about to stall, then it comes back up to normal. The car drives just fine and doesn't exhibit any stalling or hesitation. It just has this strange, low idle condition (for a brief second or so) after the engine is revved. I initially thought it was something that happened only when the A/C was on, but it's happened with A/C on and off. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Cheers! |

Check your throttle body and see if its gunked up, its a known trait on DBW Toyotas.
