wait..... none of those mods are really going to help you in the 1/4 mile. You didn't add any power

So what are you running in the quarter, with the current mods?
The new "no horsepower" mods won't help make it faster only smoother but Im still interested what you end up running. Your shifting is only as fast as your clutch engagement, the short shifter won't speed you up! trust me Quote:

does the 09 grill have the exact same size that it fits with no problem? I'd like to get one also :)

I dont get it.
All the torque damper does is cause more engine vibration to get to the chassis, and all it does is allow you to feel the engine kick into each gear, and what will that do? Annoy most people, and it will NOT make your car faster as the torque is never changed! Ugh what a gimmick I swear. I mean if you do a lot of shifting, then I guess having the torque get to the ground 0.3? seconds faster is worth it? |

^^
if you have ever owned a five speed car and dumped the clutch the hop you experienced is supposed to be diminished with the torque damper. DON"T KNOW CAUSE I DON"T OWN ONE! the shifter piece does infact shorten throws but as to its effect on actual shifting of gears is debated.I OWN ONE AND RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE FOR ANY EASILY INSTALLED MOD......

Who said Yaris was slow?

Unless you have dropped your clutch on first gear at 4,500rpm then you probably haven't. A torque damper should help control the wheel hop. From the OP's signature banner you can tell our friend actually takes his car to a drag strip. (wheter the Yaris is fast or not is not the point here) Anyone who has ever been on a Drag race would be able to tell you what 0.3 seconds mean. At 80+ MPH it means around 2 car lenghts. |

^ +1.
engine torque dampers are not a gimmick. Sorry Lafiro you're incorrect on this one. Do you also think stiffer motor mounts are a gimmick? http://www.ingallseng.com/stiffy-benefits.html

so, to be faster in the 1/4 it would be recommended to learn how to operate the clutch and gears over spending money?

the cure to wheel hop in the yaris would come mostly from a semi-solid lower dogbone, not a shock absorber bolted to your strut tower ;)
curious, what keeps the torque damper from just bending the metal of the strut tower inward, since the "chassis" mount does not triangulate? unless i'm missing something in the picture? edit, finally saw what they're doing in the second pic.. my bad.. get a semisolid dogbone mount next!

I just got some TRD hard rubber rollstoppers in from Japan. don't have pricing yet, but this will pretty much eliminate engine movement.
