fuel consumption high after ecu change

i have vitz with 1sz-fe engine auto 1.0 desparate to find the solution of my problem with fuel consumption after ecu changed wich was fried after severe
rain water rushed inside the car i. I didnt notice the actual part no at the time
on the box but current ecu has the same no as on the previous board one which i kept fortunately now the car starts well but consumming high amount of fuel making o2 sensor and plugs black like coal and slugguish too plz advice what should be done to restore it THANKS IN ADVANCE
