Question about how to load file to AEM FIC?

ust about to finish my Zage turbo install and AEM FIC install...

Noob question -> how do you load a file into the FIC? Gram was kind enough to send me a couple of maps which i can try to use on my car just to get it started.

I downloaded the latest software from AEM, installed drivers, plugged in the FIC to the PC and was able to connect and disconnect the unit.

Do i open the *.fi6 file that i have? or do i connect to the FIC first, then open it and than save it?

I see that there is a "Base Cal" file in the root of the AEM folder however, i don't want to over write anything as well as i see a option to "Upload cal only" in the menu.

looking for the noob step by step if you know what i mean

I'm running:

Stock motor
1ZZ injectors
only looking at running 7lbs for DD.

Any help is appreciated!

Before you even start, there's only one version of the software/firmware that works properly with the toyota ecu's from what I've read over the years.

z107 is the hex file that gets loaded into the FIC as firmware.

3.05 is the software that you run on the PC to load the FIC.

Just an update,

I re-flashed my FIC, uploaded the z107 hex file. Uploaded my tune file and plugged the FIC back into the ECU. Started up like stock. Runs 10-11s while under boost. Runs 14s at cruise.

I also was having issues with my oil pressure dropping to zero. I was running 10w 30 high zinc racing oil as a break in oil. Today i drained it, cleaned it up, and filled it with Royal Purple 5w 30 synthetic and swapped my old Fram filter for a K&N one. Oil pressure stayed normal for a bit. I drove around for maybe 10 minutes or so and the pressure dropped back down to zero. It only drops while in neutral, while cruising or when revving at idle the pressure reads what it should. I am using an electronic oil pressure with the sensor coming off a sandwich adapter off the oil filter.

My guess that the sensor/sending unit is acting up. I am not getting a CEL or Oil pressure light when the gauge reads 0.

Anyone have any thoughts?

What are your readings?

At idle I run 16-20psi warm. And 68psi at about 2500rpm+

Before my troubles, 60psi cold, 15-20 warm before it drops off to zero. That is at idle.

Is it a two wire gauge? If its only one wire to the sender you may have to put a ground on the body of the sensor, I had to add grounds to my water and oil pressure sensors so they would work right.
