HID install, High-beam indictor on

Hey Guys,

if this has been posted before im sorry, but ive searched all day to find no exact problems.

i installed a HID kit in my car today and noticed on my cluster that the high beam light is now dimly illuminated.....when you flick high beam on the indicator fully illuminates...

now ive followed the wiring on the box and manual. the kit comes with this:

2x bulbs (duh!)
2x ballast
1x Controller

now the thing is, when i disconnect the "controller" from the battery, the cluster high beam indicator goes off and obviously High beam function is nil....

how do i go about wiring up the high beam without the indicator on??
anyone know the diagram for the high beam?

thanks abunch!

Is yours a 8000k kit with no apparent branding? That diagram looks just like the diagram in my box. Mine works fine though, the bright indicator functions as it's supposed to.

do you have DRL? I've heard DRL messes with HID installations.

nah mate, dont have any DRL.

just bone stock. im thinking the controller is faulty, but then again this is some cheap shit hid kit.
cause when i first got it one of the ballast was K.O'd so i wouldn't be surprised if it was nakad too.

soo ur kit was the same too huh? maybe i should just invest in a decent set instead of being a tight arse. lol

I have an 8000k kit too.. everything works. I had to disable the DRL's. but my high beam indicator does not come on at all. Would I have to reverse the plugs? For an example, red wire to black instead of red wire to red wire?

I have a problem with my HID's. For the first 2 months since i've had them, they were working fine until now. They only come on when i have a normal headlight bulb plugged into the leftover/passenger side harness. I don't know why this is happening. I was thinking of using a wire with a 10k ohm 1/4watt resistor in the middle to plug into the to top hole on one end and the other to the right hole of the left over harness. This method i found on one of the forums is for to get the high beam light to show in the guage cluster. I'm hoping that this method would substitute the "normal headlight bulb" to get the HID's to be working as well.

If anybody has any solution and knows for a fact that any of the methods is not going to work, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!! THANK YOU.

just slip a 10k ohm resistor on the back of the headlight socket..
