Exclamation Retorque ARP head studs turbo build

Hi guys first post in here. Need some help.
Anyone know if I can retorque ARP head studs
Without removing the camshafts on 1nzfe?
Just about finished run in for new build and
Will need to retorque but don't know if cams need to
Be removed. All I know is that arp head studs are
Made so that they can be retorqued without needing to
Remove camshafts but unsure on our engines.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Cams are in the way of the head bolts. We also found we could not use a complete set of ARP studs because the bolts they include are so tall they hit the CAM timing wheel and block the VVTi passage, so we mix them with OE bolts.

the 1nz ARP kit needs 3 of the nuts ground down too fit.
ALSO you will need to notch the end off of the VVT-i solenoid as it hits one of the nuts.

cut the side of the nut where the socket goes, NOT the side that makes contact with the head.

i did not want to use the OEM spring bolts mixed with the ARP as they would apply different amount of load. cutting the top off the nut does not change any properties affecting torquing or loading on the build.

the ones that go here need about 1/8" cut off the TOP of the nut. otherwise they hit the cam.
