Actually, this is not entirely true.
The probelm is, starting in '09 Toyota used two different vendors for the linkage that the SS mounts on.
Depending on which vendor they used, you might have to use a file or dremel to make it fit as the two linkages are slightly different from each other.
This is due to the hole for the cotter pin is not always %100 clear and able to accept the pin easily because the SS sits a hair higher on the stock linkage pin. Even then, the hole is still always visible.
On some with the linkage in question, all it takes is to gently tap the pin in once started in the hole.

In any event, it ony takes a minuite or two with a file to rectify this and it's no big deal.

IMO a newly designed/marketed SS should have been be machined to fit all '09 + linkages as the differnce between the two is extremely slight. Perhaps even a very thin shim could be supplied for use with older/other particular Yaris that need it although a shim would probably not even be nessary.

garm told me that the new one would work for both vendors though that was back when it was still in the prototype process. I asked him about the old one before he took it off his web site and that is when I found out he was working on this one.

my assumption is that this new one will not have this issue though many have said that it wasn't much of an issue (as stated by RedRide).

I just want one and with the addition of the plate, this one seens right up my alley.

yea the waiting game is really sucking on my end too. I talked to garm about a month (maybe month and a half) ago about this.

he gave me a price range but I dare not say as I know that cost can go up once you find out how much it will actually cost to produce. I honestly don't care how much it is, I just want it. obviously there is a limit to that "don't care" mentality but if it is reasonable, I will make an order as soon as he says I can.

In production, will try to get an ETA this week for delivery of the shipment.

This IS a group buy guys -- without the group.

garm,

you might be suprised by how many people are going to order this almost immediately, and that number is going to be even higher if you sell just the bracket separately. I have seen quite a bit of interest in it just from my searching around.

you definitely hit the market at the right time with this one(many of us would have loved it earlier)

***edit***

any idea about price? final price? just curious

They are on the boat and on the way. Because of the weight of the shipment, we opted for slower ocean freight shipping. I don't have an ETA, but I will get an arrival notice when the ship is close to the Port of Los Angeles.

you don't want to know.

Right now it's looking like $89 shipped for the full kit, and TBA pricing for just the bracket.

I honestly don't care how many it is just as long as I get one. and as for the $89, I can handle that (along with the cable bushing kit)

just let me know when. I assume since it is coming by boat, it will be a bit farther out than July 1st?
