Disabled drl and installed hids and now no fogs...
Today I installed my 6000k HID's, then found out about the drl flickering problem. So i disabled my drl module but that made my fog lights not work. So I was wondering how to keep my drl module connected and have my parking lights as my drl's.Please help!! I got 6500k led fog lights and cant be used!! hahaha

I can get a relay wiring harness for your HID's that will let them work off your battery as the DRL's...or a set of capacitors that will cancel the DRL's
either one for $30 shipped to your door. the reason the fogs stopped working is that in the RS, the stock fogs are routed thru the DRL module....and DO NOT run the HID's on the lower wattage of the DRL's, it will kill the ballasts.... PM me if you're interested in the relay harness or drl cancellers....

You can either ground the beige wire of the headlight stalk connector shown in this picture (ignore the park light label):
Or you can ground the other side of the beige wire at the DRL connector. |

I don't mean to hijack your thread but I have a question concerning DRL and HID.
I'm in Canada so DRL are mandatory. The way I understand it is if I go HID, I'll need to turn on my headlight during the day. Will this cause the HID light to go bad within a few months/years or they will still last long enough to not care about? TIA |

Well in general the ballast for HIDs tend to last about 1.5 to 2 years if you run them on daily.A lot of guys that have HIDs on Scionlife including my self just replace them about every 2 years, most sets are under $100 for ballast and bulbs.
