One big advantage of using this cup holder as a mounting point...no tell-tale
sign that you have a GPS! Just close the cup holder!

Unlike mounting it on the dash, the circular mounting plate will remain clearly visible!

I think this is a great idea. Throw the GPS in one of the compartments or
take it with you.

It blocks the vent for both heat and A/C which is a big NO for me. Innovative all the same.

Here's what I did:




Got the ball mount from Kuda mounts and installed a 12V DC outlet in the driver side glovebox for the GPS unit. I've since replaced the StreetPilot c580 with a Nuvi 765T.
