Homelink?

Anybody try fabbing up Homelink on their car? I've got 2 garage doors and really like this option. I saw a unit from a junkyard and it had 3 wires coming out of it. Don't know yet how to wire it but can't go wrong too many ways with 3 wires.

They are standalone, so its probably just power, ig switched power, and ground. The mirrors with it built in are a nice option. I have three garage doors, but my remotes have 3 buttons, so I can open any of the 3 from any car. I mounted my opener in the driver's side center cubby, so it is out of sight.

Just curious, why would it have both power and ig switched power?

Actually, looking at their install instructions it is an either or (for security you can have it work only with the key on).

Thanks! I found a unit from a 2005 Pontiac Montana minivan that was pretty easy to take out (Just pull out and cut the wires)
