Geez! Ouch!

I have to wash mine this weekend and give it a good look-over. I know I don't have anything like that, though!

Still can't wrap my brain around what's so appealing about living in the snow.

Gone through 2.8 winters in the yaris and the paint still looks brand new.

Imagine a still, quiet Winter morning. It's cold, overcast but light enough to see by, and there are 2 feet of fresh, dry powder snow on the ground. You are totally warm and protected by the clothing and gear you wear, and as you stand on your snowboard on a precipice at 10,000 feet of altitude you survey the mountain below you, assessing the best route to take for 2,000 feet of downhill. After a few seconds of contemplation and planning you drop in and immediately begin building up speed.

As you breach 40 MPH you lay back on your heelside and let your body weight gently sink in, compressing onto your knees and feet as you carve on an arc through a billowy cloud. Totally relaxed, no resistance, no sound but your own breathing, a world of white skimming by underneath you.

Now imagine doing that, or something akin to it, a few times per week (often on your way to work) and tell me you wouldn't be a different person.

No winter damage here either. Or summer damage for that matter. Vacation car. Six flannel sheets sewn together. Sheets free, one spool of thread $1.25. Ugly but effective.

I have to concede that it is a pretty sweet cover. I'm curious how much you drove your car last summer?

Not really winter damage. More like winter assisted aging. Saw the blistering beginning after last winter. Now advanced to the paint flaking off stage.

Replaced mine a couple weeks ago. Got some, mint, off of a 2008 in a wrecking yard.

Intent now is to perform a seasonal wiper arm swap. Through the old ones back on in the fall when she goes back into winter mode.
