99 yaris central locking

hi our yaris has central locking i have bought a remote locking upgrade can any one tell me which wires i need to tap into for the locking and unlocking also is it posative or negative trigger.

I assume you have a RHD? If so, Connector IF2 under the driver's side kick panel - Pin 9 Lock (ground to lock) and Pin 10 Unlock (ground to unlock).

yaris locking

I had never realised that IF2 connector was there. Just out of interest what are the other pins in the connector? Is there a live and an earth?

IF2 is for the power lock and window functions. Pin 2 is power (via the 30A POWER fuse). There is not a ground pin on the connector.

Thanks for your reply. I think i may have it wrong then. Is the IF2 connector the large connector that is clipped by the accelerator pedal (looks like it has a tray to hold something)? Or is it actually under the kick panel?
