Should I buy this 2nd gen Yaris?
Hey all!
I'm in the market for a used, reliable, practical car with good gas mileage in the sub $4000 range. While looking for cars online I came across the following listing: https://offerup.com/item/detail/1625533406 What do you guys think about this deal? I messaged the seller for viewing, and am wondering if there are any Yaris-specific things to look out for during inspections. Any input is greatly appreciated.

looks decent, obviously you need to do a thorough inspection before buying any used car, lots of liars in the car market

Since the Yaris is basically bullet proof, there should really be nothing to be overly concerned about. Look for signs of leakage around the water pump. That has proven to be the most common component to prematurely fail.
Bitch about the clear coat. That's like a cancer whose spread cannot be stopped once it's taken hold. If you're impressed with what you see and are seriously willing to pull the trigger, spend a few bucks for an inspection. Will put your mind at ease, and may provide some bargaining points if wear and tear items are required to safety it.
