Is this possible ? 95.2 miles w/ no bar lost ...

and Eco-Meter reading 42.8 which is set at 95 . So , the gas mileage may be better than what it's showing . This tank is GULF 93 w/E10 and a 12 ounce bottle of Chevron Techron . The tires are four Blizzak WS 70s set at 36 p.s.i. . Here are the pics .

I know I lose a bar when 2.2 gallons are consumed, so 2.2 X 42.8 = 94.16, yeah, very possible.

Though I usually lose the first bar at around 85 miles.

I have done that! Once i filled up at 30,000 miles so that i can see.

I will drive less and more gently since the cheapest gas in town is 3.82 as of now.( it's been raising 5 cents everyday)

Had to go shopping earlier tonight and lost the 1st bar at 101 on the way there . Did change the oil to SHELL full synthetic 5w-20 ( SN/GF-5 ) along with the Toyota oil filter today . The car really seems to like this oil . Will keep updated until next fill up ( or sooner as well ) . This is the result when we arrived back .

It does seem to me that the first bar or two on mine last a wee bit longer than the rest of the bars. Just you watch; the next few will go down faster.

I haven't had my Yaris long, so I have only filled up a couple of times. On my last tank, I went just over 90 miles (around 93 I think) before the first bar disappeared. The others went down considerably faster.

Mine is a five-speed and I was using non-ethanol 87 octane.

Just a gimmick to make you think you're doing overly spectacular at the beginning I think.

40+ from the eco is still sweet though, eh? :D

remember the yaris gas can has a rubber bladder, so it changes size and shape depending on the temperature and other variables. Plus the in tank measure is horrific, to say the least. There has been reports of people running out of gas with the gauge showing 2 bars.

It also depends on if you overfill the tank as well, because the gauge in the tank only goes so high.

Always 1 click of the gas nozzle when filling . Try to use same pump as well .

Uh oh, I just hit one bar today and figured I had around 50 more miles. I guess I will find out how accurate my gas gauge is.

You can for the most part estimate that when your second to last bar drops leaving you the final one (non-blinking) you have spent roughly 9.4/9.5 gals.

I did that once when I was on my very first trip back with the car when I bought it in 06. Ended up with my only 46+ mpg tank.

Lost the 6th bar ( top to bottom ) at around 362 . Should be able to get well over 420 (?) . If not , back to a Prius . The "C" .

That be a sedan or liftback with the manual or auto ? I can see a manual doing it .
