That looks like Camp Hero in Montauk, I was camping out there with my girl some months back before the frost, hehe. Nice ride bro.

Yup .. good ol' Camp Hero. I was in Montauk this past weekend (grew up out there). Been in Holtsville for several years now.

That's actually my old Bayou. Have an '09 Bayou now and went back to Camp Hero for more shots ...

Where on the Island are you?

Great place to visit, but not my cup of tea living there. I was out after graduating high school (East Hampton High School class of 2000).

But Stony Brook is right around the corner. not many people realize where Holtsville is so I just tell them Island 16 lol.

I loved the small town feel that it excudes. Where you don't find ANY fast food places; where most people know everyone else in town (at least that's how it used to be when my grandfather was a police officer); where people actual care about others.

There's no better feeling than that, at least I think so anyway.

My grandmother and great-grandfather still live in Greenport. Maybe one of these days I'll get out there to visit again (even though they were down this way for Christmas).

Yeah, Holtsville makes me think of the ecology center and the IRS, heh.

I don't think th north fork is like that anymore, but the south fork in the town of East Hampton is. No fast food franchises allowed, but they'll sneak in Starbucks lol. IMO, I like the north fork better. I went to Greenport about 6 months ago and loved it. So different from East Hampton, Amagansett and Montauk. And definitely different from town of Southampton where everything is allowed there.

Yeah, I forgot about that too. I'll hit you up when the local meets start back up around us.

Actually it still is. The farthest out on the North Fork you will find a McDonalds or whatever is Mattituck. Anything east of their is still small mom/pop shops. Most of what you find now, instead of the vast number of potatoe farms (used to be bigger than Idaho potatoes) you find vineyards. It's still very touristy, but mainly cause of the vineyards, and people just trying to get away from the city for the weekend/summer.

I'm Nick -aka Cobretti -aka trdvvti07. I've got an 07 yaris sedan nautical blue metallic 8S6, if you know whats good. I'm in Perth Amboy, NJ. Home to 3 million hondas and 1 toyo. I want to do meets and all that good stuff, but apparently I'm the only Yaris Guy in jersey that cares. I'm in the infant stages of my build.
