Can't view the photo's?.Old thread I guess.
Did the adjustment a few days ago.The drums came right off!,no issues.Only moved the star gear about 4 "Clicks".....did some good, but not that much for the e-brake.I did notice some enhanced braking however!....try again next time.Did not want to put Too much drag on the drums. |

I tighten the star wheel way up, to where I can barely (if at all) move the wheel, and obviously can't get the drum off in several thousand miles. It has no effect on MPG as far as I can tell.

Swidd......tightened the star until you could barely move the wheel?.....Now,are you saying after adjustment, you place the wheel back on and attempt to rotate or you are trying to rotate the unit with just the drum on? (much more difficult to rotate via the drum vs. the wheel being on.).If going that tight it would seem you would "burn-up" the drum and or the pads ASAP!!. Are you also adjusting the "nut" under the e-brake handle inside the car?;if so,is the plastic(s) a PIA to remove for this?. TIA
