problem while going 80+

Its actually 85 - 100..
when I get around there...it switches back and forth from 3rd to 4th..

its very annoying

Its like my car has asma. Trying to breath and loses it.
this is automatic.
Does it happen to you guys?
is it maybe my intake?
im sure its put in properly..

My auto. does not do that... These transmissions should hold 3rd gear if you're are on a hill or have a strong headwind, and not upshift untill the extra power is no longer needed. By any case it should NOT shift between 3rd and 4th repeatedley. Sadly, I think you need to take it in.

Why would you take offense? He wasn't saying people with asthma should die or anything...

Mines done it since day one.. i know exactly what your are talking about.

BUT, it does it right in the range between 3rd and 4th.. if Im feathering the pedal in that zone, it will do it.

I'd love to see the look on the service guy's face when he tells him it shifts out between 80-100. LOL!

I know mine done that, but I have cruise control, but I know when I was just gunning along it would go into 4th but the time it switched back to 3rd was short.

I think the wind effects the sedan more. My hatch is pretty steady, even among trucks.

My auto doesn't shift like that. I'd get the service dept to give it a look.
