new yaris high clutch

Hi Ive been driving my new Yaris for 6 months and still cant find the bite properly and find that I either stall or rev the car. The clutch is high, so to be comfy on the lutch I'm stretching for the accelerator.

Does anyone know can a clutch be adjusted so that the pedal sits lower? It is spoiling what should be a fab car.

Thanks

Welcome! The pedal can't be adjusted unfortunately. The real issue here is the high sensitivity of the clutch in the Yaris (I've stalled mine more than a few times during the first couple of days of ownership). It just takes time to get used to it.

I'd always wondered about that. I drove a Suzuki Swift from new to just under 152k miles just prior to getting my 2007 Yaris in late 2006. When the Swift had about 75k miles on it, a friend was able to adjust the clutch on the car as a favor.

It is the one thing I really hate about my car. Even with an aftermarket clutch and light weight flywheel the feel is horrendous. At least now the pedal travel is really tiny though.
