What on earth is with that head unit that looks like it was stolen from a Scion?

I wonder if the rumors are true that they are "discontinuing" the sedan in North America.

Well if they make the LB in a 4 door do they really need the sedan?

I'm a bit disappointed in the drivetrain/mileage specs.
Apparently, they have ignored what Hyundai, Ford, and Chevy is doing. You can't bring to the table the same power, dated transmission, and only a 1 MPG bump over the 5 year old model you're replacing. Not when the Hyundai Accent has 138 HP while getting a 40 MPG rating! 138! Plus, the Accent's interior is better than even this improved Yaris interior. I think Toyota was caught off guard. However, since the Fiesta has been out for a couple of years (overseas), there's really no excuse. It's going to be a good car, but sadly, not a leader. |

Can't wait to see this in person, but I guess I'll have to wait a bit.

Wow what a let down, not impressive at all. I had REALLY hoped Toyota would offer a smaller engine size, or perhaps a 5/6-speed automatic or CVT transmission. Fuel economy isn't impressive at all considering the Yaris's competition these days.
http://blogs.cars.com/kickingtires/2...lapalooza.html Same 1.5L engine as outgoing model, I imagine the same 4-speed auto & 5-speed manual tranny 30/35 mpg city/hwy, from 29/35 on the current model No Toyota Touch nav system |

With automatic transmission, 5-6 step ATP produces more heat, this is a blow to AT, it will be less reliable.

If this is any indication, then it has a tach:
