Smile Kool APP

So I got this app for my android called "REV". It tracks the cars performance through a blue-tooth devise installed to the OBD. Its pretty cool and can track RPM, MPG, and even horse power which it calculates though distance and acceleration based on cars weight.

I got to admit I set the cars weight to 1179kg to accommodate myself with all miscellaneous item in the trunk with the car itself. I was able to get a pretty interesting result when I hit 6k RPM the app stated to produce 117 Horse power, now i am not bragging about my small mods that ive done to it but i think that this is pretty interesting and a cheaper alternative to expensive gauges and laptop software's that are normally used on track cars.

Just thought you might find it useful.

You can configure gauges in many different types/ ways

*Also if you look closely you can see my top speed of 106mph XD

very nice. If you don't have OBDII any more (like me, lol), "Dynolicious" works pretty good too.

And far less accurate. Just saying.

that would be due to the fact that granted obdII is real time, but the bluetooth transfer causes a delay in the transfer of data....

how much less accurate is the real question though...

I think the best use is for code scanning.

I've used the Torque app for about a year now and I found it pretty handy. I realize it my not be 100% accurate but I'm ok with that. I found it useful for scanning and clearing codes, which I did multiple times and on multiple vehicles. Here is a link to the Bluetooth adapter that I bought to go along with the program. Its super cheap and it works, never had an issue. Except when I sold my last car I had it plugged in and forgot to take it out before the guy came and picked up the car....

does this have to be the device listed in this posting, for "OBDII Bluetooth Car Diagnostic Cable - Black + Blue + Orange (DC 12V)".

or can this be the "V1.4 ELM327 OBDII OBD2 Bluetooth Diagnostic Scanner" one as its on ebay.

It still has the OBDCII connection, and is still BT.
as this looks really good, and would give me the data that i want.
