Yeah, but i'm reeeeeaaalll impatient - I dont need to save, i have it - now - so i want it - now. In a few years I'll be really bored and will want a whole new car, not new parts for an old one....

I pray every night. lol. i am hoping some companies answer soon..

Bulletproof Automotive has the Blitz kit in stock...

so tempting, but there are fitment issues, plus you're on your own for management.

I don't know if I'd say the 1NZ-FE is new; it's been in the U.S. since 2000 in the Echo.

but when the whole import scene as a majority switches to micro compacts, you'll have the early body... sort of having a clean eg with a motor swap. this car is going to be a classic.

plus, if you wait for the demand to grow, they'll have engine swap kits with ecu, cluster, mounts, axles, shift linkage, and everything else you need all in one kit and with a low price! but i still agree with you, i want it now too!

ya but who fixes up echos? lol

people started fixing up civics more in the early 90's so they have at least 10 years on this motor buddy.

Prediction: If and when this S/C comes out & after they figure out how to convert our pulleys to 5 grooves from 3, it will cost about 3500-4500 for the system. Considering that there are 3 members out of 3000+ that have a turbo or s/c kit I say that this kit will be a sales disapointment to company making it. Sorry to be so pesimistic but sometimes the truth hurts.

I don't think it pesimistic at all -- it's reality. Most people buying a $13,000 new car don't have an additional $4,000 to dump into a supercharger.

true for most people.

Personally, I'd spend $5k on it. but I'm Canadian... this car wasn't so cheap.

yeah, it's the curse of the new car, there's nothing wrong with it, everything's still under warranty, most people won't wanna mess with that... MOST people...

I dont feel "curse of the new car" is the problem. The problem is cheap car cheap owners. And also most members here are not performance oriented. They cringe at the thought of spending $3000 turbo kit.

I cringe at spending $3,000 on a turbo kit for a 1NZ-FE since it's nearly a quarter of the price of the entire car.
