2010 Hatcback with Fuel Problems.
My LCD fuel guage is acting up sometimes staying at a half a tank until i run out or not blinking at all. My fuel economy has dropped to 24.4 on a 10 gallon tank. Just wandering if it is the pressurized fuel system is acting up? When I purchased the vechicle I was told to let the nozzle kick off normally when filling to the top, and not to force more fuel in. Dealer wants $95.00 just to tell me what is wrong. Any opinions??

The fuel sender feeds the LCD. It is a resistive device that can get fouled, causing it to read incorrectly. You can buy a complete replacement one from ebay or a junkyard for less that $95. The bad fuel sender wouldn't have an effect on MPG, but whatever fouled it may also have fouled your injectors.

In engine, fuel injectors require a set amount of pressure at the nozzle during the operation. Fuel injectors do not operate by increasing or decreasing the opening for fuel flow but they simply open the same either for a shorter or longer duration, as needed. To regulate the amount of fuel in injector, fuel pressure regulator is used. so i think it might be fuel pressure regulator.
