Emblem questions
This may have been answered already in another string, but can anyone tell me if the Vitz emblem seen on Ebay and such, for the liftback, is the same Japanese domestic version as the sedan? (In other words, which grille emblem does the actual Japanese version of the four door sedan have?) I'm not too big on ricey stuff but I do like subtle changes like that..I think it shows pride in our Japanese engineering . Also, where would the authentic VVTi logos be on the same vehicle, if I were to drive one in japan? Thanks for your help!

I don't think they have the sedan.

nope, the Belta is not sold under the Netz ditribution network in Japan, so does not have that "lightning" badge up front.
Of course from what I see you can fit the badge onto your sedan if you wish, but it would not be like an authentic JDM Belta...

OK then, asking everyone for exterior modification recommendations, when the goal is to look as authentically Japanese as possible, without getting too tacky. Links to Sedan images appreciated...

Is it Seden S or Seden Regular...?
Just a side note: The reason name badges are on the left instead of the right is because their cars are RHD, meaning they drive on the left side on the road. In marketing aspect, putting the badge on the left side of the car would make it easier for the pedestrians to see it. Mmm, here are the pictures.....

^^Ha. :)
I still plan on putting a Vitz emblem on mine, since there is no Belta emblem. It's not like you're saying the car is better cause the emblem, like slapping a GTR tag on a 02 Sentra. Just saying it's different,. Embracing its haratege. :)

If you really want to follow exactly the JDM style, you can follow this page's setup: http://toyota.jp/belta/dop/package/index.html
The only thing missing from a stock sedan S is the LED side mirrors, belta badging, and trd shocks/springs. Altogether about a 1K mod.

Do you suppose, considering the mounting, that I need to get whole fenders to do the sidemarker light, or should I just wing it and get aftermarker led's and have them installed at a body shop? There are some cool looking ones out there..

For the side lights you would just need a small hole drilled in your fender for the wire to run through. Not a new fender.

For something that annoying, I would just avoid it. The chance of a near factory installation is pretty low [right place, same part, wiring]. Especially if you are getting a set of LED mirrors, it just makes the side marker pointless...
Also, you should ask MC-BPT to find you the belta emblem. Maybe he has a way...
