New Antenna = No AM, Very Little FM
When I got my used 2010 hatchback the antenna had been broken off and the dealer had not yet gotten a replacement. There were just a couple of wires coming out of the 'nub' on the roof. The radio worked fine at all frequencies.
A couple of weeks went by and they got the new part and installed it. Now I don't have any AM at all and only seem to be able to get FM stations in the middle of the 'band' (nothing lower than 94 means no NPR!). I'm starting to think these guys aren't the sharpest tools in the shed so I want to just fix it myself. Where to start? |

I would check wiring and connectors.
Antennas need good grounds. Never had the one in the Yaris apart so I can't be much help. |

IIRC I think I read somewhere on here that the Yaris antenna is amplified. Perhaps they didn't hook it up right.
