2004 Door hinge dropped, TYIA.
Hi all,
I have a 2004 2 door Yaris and love it, just recently the passenger door has become hard to open and if doing so slowly I can see the door drop a little, I am guessing the hinge has worn, is this a common fault and something I could fix myself? TYIA, Alan. |

If the hinge is bolted...yes you can just replace it.
Welded...not sure.

The hinges are not welded, however the side of the hinge that goes to the body of the car are inside the wing so access seems impossible.
I have bought a Haynes workshop manual but that just says support the door and unbolt it. Any advice would be great. |

For first aid !
Install between door and lower hinge washers .. just normal 8mm washers ! Loose both bolts and add 1 at a time ... then just tighten up |
