Question Is it possible to strap two HD750s?

Two of them would be perfect for a 13w7, but I am unsure if I could strap them safely.

the 13w7 is 1000rms i believe, you want to feed one 13w7 upwards of 1500rms and spend upwards of $1,000 doing it?

Well the Pt of the 13w7 is 1500, but I don't like to put my amp gain at max. I know how transistors work, and I know they can't last forever. I usually put the gain on my other amps a little over half way to reduce strain. If I put the gain on two HD750 amps at 2/3ish I figured I'd get a nice 1000w output with little to no strain on the amps.

well if youve got the heavy duty wallet for it then go ahead, and from what ive read on the hd750 you can strap and stack them.

to gain 3dbs you either double the power or double the surface area.

i wouldnt give it 2000rms.
youd effectively void the warranty.
and its coil(s) soon after.

To each his own I guess. He must have his reasons... and when all is said and done, it's his wallet that will be a whole grand lighter.

Well 13w7 ; optimum at 1,000 RMS. Thats really all you need.
I assume you're looking at the JL audio Amps -> HD lines well, b/c you want real good sq.

Thats just way over budget just for a 1 w7...imo. Any alternatives ? with that hefty price tag...i'm not so sure if its even worth it.

look into Zapco *C-series*, Mcintosh *you wanted to buy TWO; this will satisfy that range*, Arc Audio, US AMPS...

Maybe, maybe not. I've noticed them starting to appear on Ebay finally. Price is a little less than the dealers'. I'm sure it will go down more in the future.

Will do. I don't like buying anything I can't hear first though, so it might be hit or miss on the dealers. Alaska isn't a very hot spot for mobile audio. But like you said, I was looking at the HD lines because of the sq, but there are other things I like about them too. Why does everyone always shun JL for their outrageous prices? Comparing my past "other brand" equipment with the JL equipment I have owned, you really do get what you pay for with them, plus a little extra for the logo on the front...

That brings controversies haha, let's stick away from that.
I'd run 2 ssa icons instead of a 13w7;; so it isn't all just the branding;
rather than getting a fatty 13, think of all of the money you will be spending.
Easily, you could squeeze two-four 12"s for that pricerange. I know i could.
Its all in what you're looking for, material/procedure its created.
No one disregarded JL audio b/c of they suck. They know their stuff real well.
We're just trying to help you get what you pay for.
It seems like you willing to spend over a grand.. near two- just for your substage..And thats if you are getting great prices.

I do have two 8w7's btw.
