2010 YARIS 3 door with automatic : 13,000 miles and counting

know of someone that bought a YARIS in OCTOBER and now has over 13,000 miles on it . Uses it for his business . Will try to find out any problems that occur while the miles pile up . So far , no issues that I'm aware of . Has dealer change the oil every 5,000 miles using regular 5w-30 and TOYO oil filter .

25,000 + miles since his purchase in OCTOBER . Had to replace original tires already . Think with the YOKOHAMA AVID TRZs'. Otherwise no issues .

wonder why he went through the tires so quickly... stop and go traffic? Mine lasted 40k, and I know I could've gone another 10k on them at least before they would've made me nervous.

Can a mod edit the title with each mileage update? (just the mileage number)

The original thread title is meaningless, misleading, and seemingly unimpressive.
30,000 miles on a 2010 is a much different story than 13K.

Just a thought.

Just saying that at this point, most people with 2010's are probably around the stated mileage. Since the point of the thread is to show an example of excessive mileage, the title has lost it's impact.

That's all.

this is since OCTOBER . That's 8 months , which is above the norm for a year . 12,000 > 15,000 is considered the norm .

I know.

There's a member with around 425,000 miles on his '07.

30,000 miles since October is impressive. My whole point is that as the updates keep coming, the title will begin to be like "so what".

I'm on other forums and mods will update an old thread title when new information arrives rather than creating duplicate threads. That's all I'm saying.

has his oil changed ( 5w-30 conventional ) and tires rotated at around 5,000 miles . Says he travels over 5,000 miles a month .

I understand that you've had an issue or two with your Yaris, I think you just got really unlucky with yours.

It isn't surprising at all that a Toyota will go 30k miles, or even 100k, without any issues with nothing but oil changes and scheduled maintenance.
