2006 Yaris Remote Key Fob, I'm Trying To Find The Right One.
I contacted the previous owner of my car and she said it did come with a remote key but broke 4 years ago. I have read that there are different ones for my car, how do I tell the difference? I don't have the original but I would really like to get that working, I tried the one from my 07 that was a write off and it wouldn't work.

Are you trying to use the key to start the engine or just use the fob to open the door? for for locks you can program yourself. Key to turn the engine on you need to program the transponder. I did one for my 09 hatchback a few years ago.
Check if your key has a dot or "G" you can then buy a blank and program the fob. you can use your current non remote key with the fob or you can take the small chip in the your non fob key and put it in the new FOB key and get it cut and it should work. |
