Potential Purchase 2009 Yaris YR
Hey all,
I've recently gotten the opportunity to purchase a five door 2009 Yaris with the 1.3L 2NZ engine. It's only gotten 56k Km on it, but everything I've read suggests to stay away from the 2NZ and get a 1NZ if you can. I have not seen the car in person, but the pictures in the ad show it to be very clean. I'm looking to get this as a daily run about, but would also like to be able to do a few highway trips (several hours to friends places etc). Does the 1ZR throttle body conversion work on the 2NZ? I'd like do a few of those "hot up" mods, but if they don't work on the 2NZ I'm not really sure. What are people's thoughts? And yes, I understand it's a bit harder without any pictures. Thank you, S |

I see no reason to prefer the 1500 mL engine over the 1300.

2NZ-FE is just a de-stroked version of the 1NZ-FE.
