TRD Lowering Springs

SOLD!!!!

For sale is a slightly-used set of TRD lowering springs. I bought them from another YW user who had them installed for 4 months, then sold them to me (he went lower), and I installed them for 2 days, but had to pull them since my wheels rub up front when i corner hard. I have 215-40-17's w/ a +40 offset, so its just a bit too wide for these. The drop was perfect, and felt very nice. NOT a rough ride, and it hardly felt different from stock springs, other than a little better in the corners. I'm quite picky about keeping my car comfy and a daily driver, and these were great. Very bummed that my wheels aren't a good match. I did run them with the stock wheels/tires just to confirm that it was my wheels, and I had no rubbing, even when taking a freeway cloverleaf at 50 mph.
$90 + shipping (should be under $20 in the lower 48.) Local pickup is free in DFW.

I'd be interested, but how much work are they to install? Can it be done with relatively basic tools?

Thanks

can be swapped in a couple hours....a spring compressor is the only non-standard toolbox item

Yes, the tools you need are:
-Spring compressor ($20 @ Harbor Freight, $35 @ AutoZone, free to "loan" from most parts stores)
-19mm, 17mm and 14mm sockets
17mm wrench (offset box wrench makes the strut tower bolts MUCH easier)
6mm allen wrench
Jack and jack stands.

I'm pretty sure that's it. There is a great DIY on this site, and I was able to install them in just over 3 hours the first time, 2 1/4 hours when I switched back to originals (solo!)

I'm a pretty decent mechanic, but nothing beyond basic wrenching here. All the parts are easy to access and very easy to see. The only exception is that taking off the strut top bolts is a bit tedious, but actually very easy if you just take your time and use an offset box. I didn't remove the wipers and plastic shroud the second time, as the DIY suggests, and found it was no problem. Its the slowest part of the project with or without the shroud removed, but less than 10 minutes per side.
The rears are so easy that you'll think you forgot something. Less than 30 minutes, even with a smoke break! If you can change brakes, you can do this. BTW - price is now $90+shipping. I wanna get me a sway bar! :)

Bump... still got em. Shipping will be $20 or less anywhere in the lower 48. I'll eat the difference if it's more.

Why didn't you change the camber and get those to tuck better?
