What would I need to install this?
Ok, I want to get a new CD receiver. I had this in mind:
Clarion DFZ675MC http://www.clarion.com/us/en/product...643389128.html http://www.crutchfield.com/S-7ZqHS00...0&I=020DFZ675M What would I need to install this in my Yaris? Also, my Yaris came with an aux input already and it's between the driver and passenger seat in front of / below the parking brake lever. If I install this Clarion unit (which has an aux input on its face), is there any way to keep the original aux input that came with my Yaris and have still functional? Thanks for any help. |

I've been looking for a head unit that has a front aux input and SD card slot AND that fills up the whole space that the stock head unit uses up + the space below / above it. This is the only one I have found. So if you guys don't mind posting links to other units that fit this criteria that would be great!
Otherwise, no one has answered my question yet. I don't have any experience installing car electronics and such so I really have no idea what I would need to install this thing. |

Check out this thread: http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/sho...ight=aux+input I believe that covers keeping your stock Aux input.

Ok, I've seen this JVC unit:
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-VTRVYGO...50&I=257KDAVX2 I can get it for alot less than what Crutchfield is asking for: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B000EU69W4/ Looks very nice and has received mostly positive reviews. I've been reading some stuff about it and I keep seeing something about having to connect it to the hand brake? Not sure what they mean there. I've also seen some mentions of mounting the "connect tuner" in some place accessible. I guess if something needs to be mounted somewhere that's accessible, I could mount this thing in the Metra dash mount that has the open space under where the dash unit is placed: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=140051718401 Also, since this doesn't have an aux plug on the face / front of the unit, I could route the input on the rear into that same open space in the Metra dash mount. |
